Applying targets from the meeting / what did i learn?

We started our project by planning shots of some sort of meeting and planning in different editing features we thought that would create a better story when viewing our short film. we planned our story board in 15 mins putting together a rough draft of our film.

We decide to create an awkward meeting of a boy and a girl having a talk and getting interrupted by a friend of one of the main characters, and added  editing effects to create a more interesting storyline. we shot are short film outside using the staircase as our main scene. We used three characters in our story which were the girl and boy having an awkward talk and the interrupting friend. The shots we used to create different effects was short reverse shot, when the two character were talking to each other. Establishing shot to show the audience the scene the shot was set , and a normal cut to cut to a different shot showing a new character.

What did i learn:
-To plan our story board we got a time of 15 mins, this was like planning to fail the amount of time we got to plan wasn't enough for my group to decide which are the best ways to create this films and the best editing techniques. planning is a important time to have when trying to see how to construct our film to be effective for an audience.
-A range of editing techniques is important for a film because of continuity. using continuity in the short film provides a better storyline and easier to watch and understand when watching. using a range of these different techniques creates a better film because all the shots and frames fit in smoother.
