For my audience research, the
information I have was given back from my questionnaire and my focus group
showed that my advert was fir for the purpose of selling lynx to a picked
target audience and was effective and attractive for the audience. Most
questions answered are shown to be effective because of the theme that was
chosen and the outcome of how the product was shown, making it attractive for
the target audience, giving me confidence that the purpose of the advert has
been achieved.
Linking
on to the purpose of the advert, the clarity of communication was clear and the
feedback with my target audience confirmed this by them saying that the theme
was one of the factors that appealed to them most. They also found the advert
effective and interesting because they related to them theme or understood the
theme. This makes the communication from the advert to its target audience
clear making the advert a success.
The
appropriateness to the audience was high, because I am in the same age range as
the audience I am trying to target, finding a theme that attracted and
represented the audience was essayer creating a theme that is relatable and
appropriate to the audience that was being targeted. When creating the advert
we were planning to use some persuasive techniques to draw in our audience. The
techniques we used are Humor and sympathy for the main actor. When getting back
our audience research I find out that the techniques that I had used were not
as effective as I thought they would be. Although I saw from my feedback that
they were noticed by an audience but did not work they way they were intended
to making them less effective.
The main content of my advert was shown to be effective and relatable to the
audience. Because of the target audience being young the content was more
effective to them then it would be to an older audience, because the content
appealed to this audience it was effective. The impact that this advert had on
a audience is quite low, although this is relatable there was no visual impact
that the them or the soundtrack had on the audience by the feedback that they
gave me. The shots that were involved in this advert weren’t as good or
effective as I thought it would be. The shots that were preformed were either
out of focus or jump cuts were present throughout, which did not make it smooth
and easy to watch. When watching the main advert back I can see the aspects
that I needed to improve on and what would make it better and more effective
for my target audience. The main story line was effective and you could
tell by watching what we were trying to achieve with our theme.
