Single camera Technique that i have shown in my footage

Single Camera Technique
Where have I shown this?
Framing & Composition

Variety of shot sizes
I have used a range of shot sizes throughout my short film, from long shot of the girl walking towards the boy at the bus stop in day 1, close up of Joeys face when looking at the bus times also day 1 and medium long shot of Joey looking at the time on his phone on day 2 .
Head Room
I did not use head room to my best ability in my main short film so I created another piece of footage showing my understanding of important shots I missed in bus stop love. Head room is used when the main girl is at the breakfast table a cretin amount of room above her head is shown.
Looking Room
Looking room is also shown in the extra footage. I used this when the main girl is looking up at the clock, she is not placed in the center of the frame more towards the left of the frame giving her that cretin amount of room to look at the clock which is off of the right of the frame.
Rule of Thirds
Rule of thirds is used I my main footage of bus stop love. This is shown when the male main character sitting at the bus stop with a close up of his face. Rule of thirds, if a grid was placed In the frame all facial features would be In the same, Each of his facial features are in the same box which keeps his face in line.
Use of perspective
Use of perspective is used in my main footage, it is shown in many different spots I my footage when the two main characters walked past  each other had smiled both showing their own perspective another with day 4 when Joey was walking towards the bus stop he sees his love interest via his perspective.
Blocking
Blocking is used in my main footage this is when the actor is showing an event or emotion via there acting and not the use of camera movement or effect. This is used when the main girl character is walking towards Joey she stops and then Joey shows her reaction this shows the attraction between the two characters and the interest that the male character moves to the female character.
Eye line match
There are two eye line matches In my main footage and one in my extra footage. The first one was in day 1 when he looks up at the bus time the camera cuts to his face to the bus times then back to his face showing what he was looking at and his reaction. The second one was day 2 when Joey walked to the bus stop and pulled out his phone, it then cut to his phone showing what he was looking at then back to his face showing his reaction. The last one which is present in my extra footage which was present in my extra footage when the main girl looked right of the frame the camera then cut to what she was looking at which was the clock on the wall.
High/ Low / Dutch Angle
Low angle and canted angle was used in my extra footage, the main girl walked outside to meet her friend her friend then looks at her friend from her face down using a low angle she then stops at her feet, the camera then turns into a horizontal angle which is known as a canted angle to show what the other girl was looking at and how she was looking at it.
Focus

Manual Focus
Manual focus was used all the way through my main footage showing all shots I a normal clear focus to see the characters actions and emotions clearly.
Focus Pull
I used focus pull in my extra footage at the beginning. I made the main character start of with being out of focus, very blurry and unclear I then pulled her into focus with the picture being sharper and clearer for an audience.
Manipulate Depth of Field
I used manipulate Depth of field in my extra footage placing two bottles on a table one further in front of the other i then focus on on leaving the one behind blurry and the one in front in sharp focus i then change and leave the one in front blurry and the one being in sharp focus.
Movement

Smooth Panning / Tilting
I used a few pans in both pieces of footage. The first one is in my main footage at the begging when the camera is focused on a passing bus then camera then pans at Joey sitting at the bus stop another was in my extra footage in a complex shot tracking and following the actors then panning for a medium close up.
Tracking In/Out (Hand Held)
I used tracking in both my footage, the main footage I tracked the main character walking to the bus stop following his walking until he got to bus stop. The other tracking was used in a complex shot I tracked the two actors walking then I turned into a pan.
Complex Shot
I used a complex shot in my extra footage this is when a single camera is used a follows out more than type of camera technique in my footage I used tracking following the girls and then panning to get a front medium close up.
Coverage

Shot/Reverse Shot
I used shot reverse shot in my extra footage when Meltem and joey were having a condo. I positioned the camera behind joey only seeing the back of his head and hie ear showing Meltem in full. i thin swapped with showing the back of Meltems head and seeing a full profile of Joey.
30 Degree Rule
I used this is my main piece of footage staying between 30 degrees when filming the same shot this is shown when filming Joey on day 1 and day 3 when filming him at the same position at the bus stop.
Cut In / Cutaway
I used this in my extra footage this is when character walked down a street or an alley the camera then cuts onto cretin things that relate to the street or alley she is working in. my example is the main character came out of her house she walks down the street the camera then cuts too three things which relate to the walk she is taking.
Multiple Takes / Continuity of Action
There is much evidence of this in my main footage when Joey smokes the fag and blows it out it then cuts to a closer shot of him blowing it out with the fag still in the same hand. Another example was when he put his head down in day 2 and lifts it with a cigarette in his hand. Another was when he walks in on day 5 sits at the bus stop and is beginning to open his bag it then goes to a closer shot facing towards him as he is still opening the bag.
Lighting & Colour

Use of Artificial Lighting
I used artificial lighting in my extra footage to lighting the set that I was filming in and to also lighten the actors face I used this when the main character was sitting at the breakfast table looking at the clock.
Key/Fill/Backlight
I used a key and fill light when using artificial lighting a key light to light the main setting and character, this causes there too be a shadow on one side of their face this is when a fill light is used to fill in the light to take away the shadow I used this when the main character was at the breakfast table and they key and the fill light was used to brighten up the setting and actor.
Use of Natural Light
I use of natural light was present throughout  my main footage due to the reason we filmed outside and filmed in day time to use the light to light up our setting and the actors faces.
White Balance
We used white balance to show our camera what the color white is, we used this before filming placing a white sheet of paper in front of the camera, taking the picture and in the camera setting choosing the picture for the camera to focus on and use with white balance.
Tinting
We involved tinting in our extra footage using two bits on thin colored plastic and placed it in front of our key and fill lighting giving it a slight red and blue tint. We used this again with the girl sitting at the breakfast table when she looks back from the eye line match with tint of red and blue.
Sound

Use of Wild Track
We used wild track in our main footage before the main filming. This is when we filmed a minute of the background noise so there isn’t any noises that could disrupt or ruin the footage. Because of a soundtrack we wanted to use the use of the wild track was not need in this footage.
Non-diagetic sound
Are main footage used non-diagetic sounds all the way through this footage, a non copyrighted track that we found on a free music for a production website We used this thought our footage given it an effect due to the track we chose.
Recording Dialogue
I used this in my extra footage using a sound boom to pick up any dialogue that i used. I used the boom when the main female character was sitting at the breakfast table and she answers her phone.
ADR
I used ADR in my extra footage, this is overlapping or redoing sound which needs recording via technology, I used this when the main girl has stepped out of her house and meets her friend at the end of her road her friend then shouts ‘Hey’ from across the road which is very distant and faint. The same actor then records the same line at the same point of the footage to make it clearer for an audience .
