Reflection of Pitch

When sharing my speech with other people, there are many advantages and disadvantages to my pitch that I am proud of and I could improve on. 

               The things that I thought let me down in my pitch was the speed of my talk. For example when sharing my idea I started to get nervous, meaning that the speed of my speech got faster and faster.  Audiences might not understand what I’m trying to get across or cannot keep up with what I am saying.

Another disadvantage of my pitch is that because I was nervous I started moving my hands this could be good and bad but I see t as bad, this is because when explaining my pitch and moving my hands the attention of what I am saying could go on the movement of my hands creating more of concentration onto something else.

            One more disadvantage of me sharing of my idea was going on for too long, the audience I was pitching to was a younger audience meaning they have a shorter attention span the adults. Talking too long causes them to become less interested. This also led to me to talk faster because I was trying to get everything I thought that was important into my pitch.

 There are also many things I did that were positive and create me with a good pitch. These were talking with confidence, this is because I understood and I knew what I was saying, because I rehearsed before the day of the pitch.  I’m also not a shy person; because of this I was able to explain my ideas without being so shy and quit.  

              Another positive is that I engaged with the audience, I made sure that I had eye contact with the audience, I made sure that I had there attention and made sure they understood what I was trying to put across. This also links with being confident and having a strong solid voice. I also had quite a lot of hand-outs and things for my audience to look at, this is to engage the reader and connect the with what I am trying to talk about.

 

I also used a different type of way of presenting my advert; I used a board putting my different type of research on. This Is so I’m. Not reading off a presentation, which creates a boring way to show my idea.

4- How has technology in TV and Film changed and what has been the impact of these changes for audiences and producers of film and TV?

There have been many changes from the year 2000 for film, the one i have been concentrating in more detail on is 3D. Knowing that 3D has ben around since the 1950's but not being so successful due to complaints that this technology gave most audiences headaches or made them feel unwell whilst watching. Throughout the time this technology has been used and improved by many different eras of film and became more successful in the 2000's until the present day but creating an amazing best seller film 'Avatar'  which was released in 2009. The change of using 3D has become more popular and more high tech then in the 1900 and the 2000 due to the wider understanding of the technology and the use in films that creates entertainment for an audience.

Due to the film and T.V industry becoming bigger and more popular with people around the world, more shows have come onT.V that attract a certain audience which creates a fan base or a group of people who follow and keep watching the series, creating more popularity for the show or film the are attached to. For example 'The Vampier Diaries' has become a huge hit around the US and the UK, their  have been many fan groups that have created websites http://www.vampire-diaries.net Like this one to talk about this TV show, to share different clips of the show and to discuss their favourite characters, it even shows some of vampier dairies merchandise like T-shirts and mugs that are also being sold on this website. This 'fan base' and the films merchandise has become more popular  in the 2000's creating more and more popularity for the series which is an advantage for the producer because of the high in viewing the more merchandise they sell the more money they collect to producer another series or more money to produce more merchandise for the fans of this series.
                 Its also an advantage to an audience giving them more entertainment and something to follow and be interested in, because of the fan bases they can talk to others that are interested in the series and find out different information about the show. a disadvantage for an audience about joining a fan base is the disappointment when the series comes to an end or their favourite character dies out. This could cause uproar from the fan base that can cause disappointment for a major fan.


To all the changes that have happened in the T.V and film industry their have been many advantages and disadvantages to them all, all creating massive effects and massive changes to the way we watch T.V and film. The first change is analogue to digital editing, whilst filming has finished it would be sent tot he editors room ready for the film to get cleaned up. Most of the editing is done manually cutting the film where the scene needs to be cut, which creates un smooth transitions between two scenes. It has now been changed to Digital editing all the cleaning up being done on high Tech computers, creating special effects and putting a scene together by a click of a mouse.
                The main advantage of changing the way a film gets edited is the way it looks when it gets shown to an audience, the shots are smooth into each other, action scenes look more realistic adding other special effects which create more enjoyment for an audience. and is made to create a bigger picture. But their are also many disadvantages to the change from analogue to digital, one is that their are less jobs within editing because of their being only a few people editing on the computer instead of many trying to cut and put together different rolls of film which take more then digital editing takes.  Because of the high tech which makes the action look very realistic grabs audience attention which creates a wider seeing range which rakes in more money for the producer. Even due to high technology it has its problems, because it is a computer with a lot of information, the computer could crash which cold be a problem and waste time when trying to edit. A lot of data and information can be deleted and lost within the computer which could also waste time and money for the producer and director. The computer might not be able to take as much data as there was filmed and the sound quality can be too clinical/cold.
                Because of the advantages for the producer is also strong advantages for an audience, for example having special effects and creating a more realistic action scene is more enjoyable for a audience, seeing and hearing different scenes that are realistic and are interesting to watch.  This creates more of an enjoyable viewing experience for an audience.

Another change that has happened to the TV and film viewing experience is having portable technology to watch different films outside of the home environment. Throughout the years mobile phones have become more and more advanced and have been made in two many different types of smartphones like 'Apple' and 'Blackberry' which allow you to do many different things like, listening to music and using the phone on one devise, which is small enough to take around and small enough to put in your pocket. This creates many Advantages to different audiences watching theses films, when on a journey using your mobile phone is a quick easy and suitable way to pass the time and to keep up with your favourite films and T.V programs. But because of the small impact devise some audience might not like watching different things on such a small screen and prefer watching these live action films on a bigger screen.
           Having a new way of watching films on the go creates advantages for producers and directors, this is because audiences can watch these different films whenever they want and times they want which creates more viewers for a film creating more income and views for the film or TV programme.

Since the first film has been created there has been massive changes that have changed the way we watch films and T.V today. For example the way films has been shown to different viewers are seen to be very different today and include many different high tech technology that create the amazing effects we see today. For example the way films are now edited, instead of manually doing it by hand  computer is used to cut scenes, add special effects create better high quality sound and put together two or more scenes. The process of editing the film is quicker, making it quicker to hit the cinemas. The quality of the film is a lot more sharp, showing more effects and a clear see of the action which is present in the film.
              Another change of making films is that they are cheaper and easier to make because of the new cameras today which are good quality and not as expensive as cameras in 1950's . Because of this feature films are made with cameras that students and schools are available to use to create their own work. For example a film that was cheaper to make then other feature films is clover field using hand held cameras to create  the whole film.
            New technology has also been created to capture human movement and expressions by computer called E-motion capture. This is very new technology that is being used in many different movies. One movie that used this tecnology and was the most top film ever created today was 'Avatar' using this technology to create different species which contain human like movements. This creates such a big impact for the film industry, creating new examples to have a better and more imaginative viewing experience.
               When in editing, the software has become more advanced then other editing computers that have been created. computers can hold more data storing more footage then any other. many different effects can be placed onto the footage using the different softwares provided. For example special effects including expositions, UFO's and so on.this creates a much bigger story and picture when watching because of this advanced software that creates a real life effect which creates more of an interest to an audience and viewer watching.

Many different technology has changed for T.V to also make appeal more to an audience. For example T.V is giving out different offers and different kinds of broad bands for you to watch the channels you want at different prices. They created many different boxes that will help you do this like'Sky' 'Virgin' offering you many different packages for different prises. This creates a wider choice and a range of prices for audiences to pick their package to watch programmes they want to watch.

Film has changed into something bigger and better throughout the years, different types of technology has changed, to film and edit different feature films.  One piece has become know in many different films to create something different using human motion. Motion picture is to capture human movement and is used for many different ways as well as film, like sport and medical reasons. This creates many different viewing experiences for many different audiences, making actors become something else to create a different story line throughout. There are also many advantages and disadvantages to this, an advantage  is the amount of work that is going into the production is the same amount if there was an actor itself being filmed and a disadvantage is that the cost of this technology is a lot higher then normal because of how advanced it is, meaning that smaller productions might not have the budget to include this in their film.

Special effects are also used more in feature films recently, these have become more advanced and more realistic because of new editing softwares that are now used. There are many different softwares and computers that add in these special effects to big action adventure films and fighting scenes. Special effects are described as 'Tricks of the eye' and 'Simulator industries to simulate imaginative events involved in film and games. Many films use special effect to create a realistic feel to there films. Films such as Avatar and transformers using these special effects for to create the movie and to give it the last touch. This creates more of an interest for an audience, giving them excitement and interest when watching because of how realistic the movie looks.






To create more of a fan base and interest for this movie advertisements of different kinds need to be shown to get the advertising out. This is from streaming from the internet like youtube and Vimeo, showing trailers and sneak peaks of there different things that will create an interest throughout audiences. Having these grabs the audiences attention and creates more of an advertising base so audiences see and hear about the movie that is being created. This has changed from advertising movies in the past. Most were advertised on billboards and busses to show and advertise the movie that is being created. Because of the interest in the internet in recent years, websites like youtube and Vimeo have a larger viewing audience. This makes showing to a larger audience easier and more effective because of how many people go onto to these websites and use these websites.

When watching the feature films there are many different ways to watch it when it comes out, one that has been going around but has never been seen as good enough because of the problems it has caused. 3D, 3D is shown given a three diminutional image to a motion picture, making the picture come out of the screen. This has always been around but always said to give audiences a headache whilst watching.  Now this technology as been advanced many movies use this to create this effect for an audience watching. It gives audience more of an enjoyable viewing experience making some scenes look more realistic and interesting to watch.

 Another way to watch this feature film, which is becoming more and more popular recently in this day and age is IMAX, this is a new viewing experience which is much bigger then watching it in a cinema, the main screen is screen to by as high as a two store block of flats. Making it a lot bigger and more realistic when watching. Many audiences enjoy going to IMAX because of it feeling o realistic and so into the film that the emotions that are being created your feeling because of how big the screen is. They also describe how the sound is loader sharper, hearing everything from the smallest detail, also making the experience more realistic. The resolution is also very sharp, very high seeing every detail that is being shown, The seating is always laid out that you are centre of attention, making sure you miss nothing.
